THRILLING TRAILER FOR STEPHEN DORFF'S "BRAKE"! JENNIFER LAWRENCE & BRADLEY COOPER IN "SERENA"! JOHN KRASINSKI & MATT DAMON IN "THE PROMISED LAND"

Since period projects are quite trendy right now with the success of DOWNTON ABBEY, you might like the sound of this one: "Variety" reports that Rhys Ifans might join Bradley Cooper, Toby Jones
and Jennifer Lawrence in SERENA a movie adaptation of a novel by Ron Rash. Story unfolds in the mountains of 1920s North Carolina, with Cooper playing a timber baron and Lawrence playing his wife Serena, who battles the government to save their lands and engineers the murder of her husband's illegitimate son. Ifans is in talks to play Galloway, a vicious Appalachian guide who becomes Serena's muscle after she saves his life. Jones is set to play Sheriff McDowell, who doggedly pursues Cooper's character. Ifans has been quite busy recently: beside starring in Roland Emmerich's ANONYMOUS last year he also plays Lizard in THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN and will also appear next to Emily Blunt and Jon Segel in THE FIVE YEAR ENGAGEMENT.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
As "Deadline" reports, John Krasinski and Matt Damon will star in Gus Van Sant's THE PROMISED LAND, in which the story centres on a sales executive
who begins to question his life when he is called to a small town on business. According to "Variety" Warner Bros. will adapt LUCID comic into a film. The story of the Archaia Entertainment (with whom Warner is also doing BOLIVAR film I've mentioned last week) comic takes place in a parallel universe where magic is real and world leaders have secret agents working to fight off supernatural threats. Main character is a young agent, recently appointed "Protector of the Realm" who must use his skills as a covert spy and combat mage to stop an occult technology dealer.

And I have a very intriguing and quite interesting trailer for you today: it's the clip for action thriller BRAKE in which the story revolves around a Secret Service Agent who is held captive in the trunk of a car and endures high-speed mental and physical torture as terrorists attempt to extract needed information for their sinister plot. The film with unusual setting has Stephen Dorff in the lead role. You've probably noticed that he kinda returned from the dead after playing Henry Cavill's slave and side-kick in Tarsem's mind blowing epic blockbuster IMMORTALS last winter. The film opens in cinemas March 23rd!

SPOTLIGHT ON THE FUTURE PROJECTS OF ALL "GAME OF THRONES" STARS: KIT HARRINGTON, LENA HEADEY, EMILIA CLARKE, RICHARD MADDEN, HARRY LLOYD, NIKOLAJ COSTER WALDAU

In honour of the second season of one of the most popular epic shows GAME OF THRONES scheduled for April 1st with the episode called "The North Remembers", I've decided to do a spotlight on the future projects of some of the most popular stars from the cast of this brilliant show. As a special addition you can watch the sixth trailer bellow, promoting the beginning of the second season in which they've used SEVEN DEVILS song from Florence And The Machine. Enjoy the spotlight :)
LENA HEADEY
Her Royal Incestuous Naughtiness queen Cersei Lannister will be busy after she finishes plotting and doing evil in GAME OF THRONES. Lena Headey, whom you also remember as queen Gorgo from 300
, will go a bit sf in JUDGE DREDD, the remake of the famous sf film about a future society in which cops are also the judges who sentence people immediately when they catch them. Beside Karl Urban who takes the lead role, Lena will play the main villain Madeline Ma-Ma Madrigal who deals the reality altering drug and runs a whole criminal mafia. She will also join Michael Sheen, Ioan Gruffudd and Sam Neil in fantasy film MARIAH MUNDI AND THE MIDAS BOX a lavish adventure about a teen girl who unites with the strange adventurer 'Captain Charity' in order to find her kidnapped brother. The trail leads them away from the smog of Victorian London to the mysterious Prince Regent, a majestic hotel on a small Island at the furthest edge of the Empire. Inside it's lavish exterior lays an amazing and unusual steam powered world, beyond Mariah's wildest dreams.
HARRY LLOYD
Amazing British star Harry Lloyd who was absolutely brilliant as evil Dragon prince Viserys Targaryen died in the first season but his career is moving on since we've seen him as young Dennis Thatcher in THE IRON LADY,
and this year we shall watch him in BBC's GREAT EXPECTA- TIONS series, which is very interesting since Harry is in real life the great great great grandson of Charles Dickens. Next year we shall watch him next to Mark Strong and Vera Farmiga in CLOSER TO THE MOON, a very interesting film about a Romanian police officer who teams up with a small crew of bank robbers to pull off a heist by convincing everyone at the scene of the crime that they are only filming a movie. As I reported earlier this week he will also take part in BBC's epic TV project HENRY IV in which he will star next to Jeremy Irons as the king and Tom Hiddleston as the prince.
EMILIA CLARKE
Another lovely lady whom we love a lot in GAME OF THRONES is definitely Emilia Clarke who plays the Dragon queen and the khaleese
Daenerys Targaryen, who will try to take her rights in the second season after the death of her hubs Khal Drogo. We shall also watch Milie Clark next to HOLLYWOOD SPY's favourite Karl Urban in OVERDRIVE in which he and Ben Barnes play a pair of handsome and adventurous brothers, known for being high-profile car thieves, who travel to the South of France looking for new challenges and come across a tough local crime boss. She will also star in British film SPIKE ISLAND next year about a rising indie band which travels to Spike Island, Cheshire, in May of 1990 to see The Stone Roses.

RICHARD MADDEN
Another young British guy we also adore, Richard Madden, who plays the brave and magnificent Robb Stark who will lead the army to free his sisters in the second season, has had a brilliant gig in BBC's
equally brilliant project BIRDSONG earlier this year in which always flawless Eddie Redmayne played an English WWI soldier who fights in the horrific trenches of northern France haunted by the memories of his forbidden love affair with a French woman. I really hope we shall see more of Richard Madden in the upcoming years, even though he has been a bit in the shadow of Kit Harrington in GAME OF THRONES, and he deserves to be in the spotlight himself.
KIT HARRINGTON
Probably the most popular member of the cast, Kit Harrington has really earned a lot playing John Snow who will have to face strange
forces up in the frozen North in the 2nd season of GAME OF THRONES. As you know he got the royal role in ARTHUR AND LANCELOT epic which then got cancelled, but we shall still watch him in another fantasy epic THE SEVENTH SON next to Julianne Moore, Ben Barnes and Jeff Bridges as the seventh son of a seventh son who learns how to exorcise ghosts, contain witches, and bind boggarts in the 1700s. He will also star this year in SILENT HILL: REVELATION the story of a girl who has to run from strange demonic forces. The cast includes Sean Bean, Carrie Anne Moss, Malcolm McDowell...
NIKOLAJ COSTER WALDAU
Probably the most charismatic member of the male cast in GAME OF THRONES is Danish star Nikolaj Coster Waldau, who will continue with his evil deeds in the second season as well as Jaime Lannister,
but thanks to his dashing appearance he has scored a role in Tom Cruise's untitled sf epic about a veteran soldier sent to a distant planet, where he is to destroy the remains of an alien race. The arrival of an unexpected traveller causes him to question what he knows about the planet, his mission, and himself. He will also take the lead role in MAMA, a strange horror about a couple faced with the challenge of raising their young nieces that were left alone in the forest for 5 years.... but how alone were they?

Although we loved him heaps as Khal Drogo, Jason Momoa isn't returning since his character is dead, but it seems that after last year's CONAN THE BARBARIAN he is about to become an action star since he will join Sylvester Stallone in BULLET TO THE HEAD playing a cop and a hitman who form an alliance in order to bring down their common enemy after watching their respective partners die. Meanwhile, Josef Altin, who plays Pypar from the Night Watch and whom I must thank for being a dear friend of HOLLYWOOD SPY and a very nice lad, has recently auditioned for a role in LES MISERABLES and he might join Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe in the film.

SECOND HILARIOUS TRAILER FOR "WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU'RE EXPECTING"! ELLE FANNING IS PRINCESS IN "MALEFICENT"? JESSICA ALBA IN "A.C.O.D."! "GNOMEO & JULIET: SHERLOCK GNOMES" SEQUEL

Have you noticed that Saturday is usually the day for fairy tale news? As "MovieWeb" reports, Disney's live action fairy tale MALEFICENT
might get young Elle Fanning (she is just thirteen years old) as princess Aurora. As you remember from our previous posts, the film will be the adaptation of the famous SLEEPING BEAUTY but this time it will be told from the Evil Godmother's perspective. Angelina Jolie has been attached to the main role for a few years now and she probably won't have any problems showing her natural villainous side in the film. The screenplay has been written by the scribe of ALICE IN WONDERLAND. We've seen little Fanning last year in the flop WE BOUGHT A ZOO and in SUPER 8.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
We haven't seen much of Jessica Alba lately, but in one of her future gigs she will appear in A.C.O.D. the film which centres on a grown man (Adam Scott) who was forced as a child to be the adult of the household when his parents were going through their divorce. He tries to keep his bitter family together when his younger brother unexpectedly announces he's getting married. The title is an acronym for Adult Children of Divorce. According to "Deadline" animated film GNOMEO & JULIET, which earned almost $200 million around the world last year, will get its sequel GNOMEO & JULIET: SHERLOCK GNOMES in which the two of them will hire "the greatest ornamental detective" Sherlock Gnomes, when gnomes start disappearing from their lawns. Emily Blunt and James McAvoy are expected to lend their voices again, and Elton John will again compose the music.

The second trailer for upcoming ensemble comedy WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU'RE EXPECTING has been released this week and you must watch it since it is extremely hilarious :) and strangely, just like the first one, it doesn't really feature the pregnant ladies from the cast but all the funny fathers dealing with their newborns. Opening May 18th and starring Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn
Decker, Anna Kendrick, Joe Manganiello, Rodrigo Santoro, Matthew Morrison, Elizabeth Banks, Dennis Quaid... the film is based on the 16 million copy best-selling book, bringing a modern look at love through the eyes of four interconnected couples experiencing the thrills and surprises of having a baby, and ultimately coming to understand the universal truth that no matter what you plan for, life doesn't always deliver what's expected.

1ST PIC OF JOHNNY DEPP & ARMIE HAMMER IN "THE LONE RANGER"! "MOONRISE KINGDOM" WITH BRUCE WILLIS & ED NORTON! JAKE GYLLENHAAL IN "MOTOR CITY" WITH GARY OLDMAN!

Variety has reported today that Jake Gyllenhaal has replaced Dominic Cooper in the lead role in MOTOR CITY, a thriller about an ex convict who is released from prison, and then begins a quest for
vengeance, seeking out the men who framed him. Gary Oldman will play the villain, while gorgeous Amber Heard plays the female lead role. After the success of his SOURCE CODE thriller last year, which earned more than $100 million around the world, Jake will also join Jessica Biel and James Marsden in NAILED (about a small town waitress who gets a nail accidentally lodged in her head causing unpredictable behavior that leads her to Washington, DC, where sparks fly when she meets a clueless young senator who takes up her cause) and in END OF WATCH, about the long-term friendship and partnership between two cops. What is it with big stars going B-league and shooting mediocre crime flicks? I mean, wasn't Gyllenhaal prince of Persia?

HOLLY WOOD SPY HEAD LINES
Ah, those damn vampires just won't let it go! Surprise, surprise, there's a new vampire project in Hollywood, and methinks it's the 58th in line, but it might be 59th as well: as "Deadline" reports Alexandre Aja (THE HILLS HAVE EYES) might helm UNDYING LOVE, which will be a movie adaptation of a comic following an ex-soldier who falls for a girl that happens to be a vampire. The only way the two can be together is if the man takes on the vampire who created her, which also means
fighting an army of monsters in the Hong Kong underworld. The story mixes traditional vampire lore with Chinese monster myths and the Hong Kong action genre. And above you can check out the first pic of Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as THE LONE RANGER from the upcoming blockbuster which comes out next year. Directed by Gore Verbinski the film will also star Helena Bonham Carter.

A new poster has been released for MOONRISE KINGDOM which premiers this May and I know a lot of you are excited about the film since it has a
stellar cast. Set on an island off the coast of New England in the 1960s, the story follows a young boy and girl falling in love. When they are moved to run away together, various factions of the town mobilize to search for them and the town is turned upside down – which might not be such a bad thing. Bruce Willis plays the town sheriff, two-time Academy Award nominee Edward Norton is cast as a camp leader, Academy Award nominee Bill Murray and Academy Award winner Frances McDormand portray the young girl’s parents and the cast also includes Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton and Jason Schwartzman.

STUNNING "TO THE ARCTIC" TRAILER! KRISTEN BELL IS "FROZEN"! "TERRA NOVA" CANCELLED! ROSE BYRNE, ANNA FARIS, SIMON BAKER IN "I GIVE IT A YEAR"! "JOURNEY II" ADVENTURE GETS THIRD PART

According to "The Hollywood Reporter" Disney is finally moving on with their animated film called FROZEN based on the famous fairy
tale about the Snow Queen and it has been revealed that Kristen Bell will both lend her voice to the lead character and sing the songs in it since it will be a musical animated film.  Meanwhile, Warner Bros. is doing a film adaptation of BOLIVAR graphic novel about a young woman named Sybil, who moves to New York City and discovers her new neighbor is the last dinosaur left on Earth, named Bolivar, whom she then befriends. The sad news of the day is that Fox has cancelled TERRA NOVA. But the extremely expensive Steven Spielberg's show about a human colony on Prehistoric Earth might move to some other channel.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEAD LINES
You know how much HOLLYWOOD SPY supports romantic films, so here's a new one: "Variety" reports that Rose Byrne and Raffe Spall will play a mismatched couple struggling through their first year of marriage in I GIVE IT A YEAR in which Anna Faris and Simon Baker will play important supporting roles. Another interesting news comes from Warner Bros. They've decided to greenlight the third
instalment of the famous adventure franchise JOURNEY 3 since JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND with Josh Hutcherson, Michael Kaine, Dwayne Johnson and Vanessa Hudgens has already earned almost $300 million around the world less than two months from its release. As you known all parts of this adventure are based on Jules Verne books.

The only trailer I have for you is a bit unusual, since it isn't for a live action or animated movie but for a documentary one - TO THE
ARCTIC 3D
. Narrated by Meryl Streep and opening in cinemas April 20th, this extraordinary journey to the top of the world tells the ultimate tale of survival taking audiences on a never before experienced journey into the lives of a mother polar bear and her twin seven month old cubs as they navigate the changing Arctic wilderness they call home. Captivating, adventurous and intimate footage brings moviegoers up close and personal with this family's struggle to survive in a frigid environment of melting ice, immense glaciers, spectacular waterfalls, and majestic snow-bound peaks.

One of the extremely interesting projects is NBC Universal's and BBC's project on the TV adaptation of 4 of Shakespeare's major plays in the form of TV dramas with stunning casts and magnificent sets and costumes. The first one to be aired this summer on BBC, and is currently in post production,
is RICHARD II in which Ben Whishaw stars as the King, alongside a phenomenal cast including Rory Kinnear, Patrick Stewart, David Suchet, David Morrissey, Clemence Poesy as the queen, Lindsay Duncan and James Purefoy. The producer of this one and the other three dramas is famous director Sam Mendes. The second in the project will be HENRY IV, to be shot in two parts, with Jeremy Irons as King Henry IV in the drama directed by famous Richard Eyre. Tom Hiddleston is Prince Hal in the cast which also includes GAME OF THRONES Harry Lloyd. The last film in the series will be HENRY V in which Tom Hiddleston ascends to the throne to play the role of King Henry V, while Lamber Wilson will play the King of France with Julie
Walters and Jon Hurt also in the cast. This one will be shot this year, after RICHARD II, while two parts of HENRY IV will be shot next year. It is interesting that the production teams of all of these films include people who worked on classics such as THE PIANO, THE KING'S SPEECH, CRANFORD, DOWTON ABBEY, THE QUEEN... The whole project is done to mark London 2012 Festival and The Cultural Olympiad on the BBC which coincides with the summer Olympics.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
According to DEADLINE, Mike McCoy (ACT OF VALOUR) will direct sf flick  GOD'S GULCH, set in the wake of the entire computer network
shutting down and the ensuing economic and societal collapse, and following a group which must come together to fight for their survival. Star Trek star Zoe Saldana has joined Christian Bale as his ex wife in OUT OF THE FURNACE, a thriller about a man who hopes to find peace after being released from a four year jail stint. His plans for a quiet life come to a halt when his brother is murdered and he decides he must set out for revenge. Meanwhile, "Entertainment Weekly" reports that our favourite FRIENDS star Matthew Perry is coming back to the sitcom world in NBC's GO ON, as a charming sportscaster who tries to move on after a personal tragedy through the help of mandatory therapy sessions.

Are you ready for the second season of THE BORGIAS, which returns to Showtime on April 8th, Easter Sunday? Check out the first poster for the second run of one of Showtime's most successful shows.  When the series
returns, Rodrigo Borgia (Oscar-winner Jeremy Irons) will demand that his children join him in getting revenge against the families that opposed his climb to the papacy. That’s to be expected. But at the same time, his own family may become his biggest threats. Cesare’s (François Arnaud) sibling rivalry with Juan (David Oakes) grows into resentment toward their father. And after Rodrigo’s horrible choice for her husband last season, Lucrezia (Holliday Grainger) is finding some independence. Who can blame her? All the while, Rodrigo’s very persistent nemesis Della Rovere (Colm Feore) hasn’t given up and he’s closing in on the Vatican’s new residents.

And don't forget that this Sunday, HOLLYWOOD SPY
is bringing you an exclusive spotlight on all the future film projects of some of the lead stars from HBO's super popular epic series GAME OF THRONES: Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harrington, Harry Lloyd...

MILA KUNIS IN "HELL & BACK" AS FEMALE DEMON! BRUCE WILLIS IN "FIVE AGAINST A BULLET"! SCARLETT JOHANNSON JOINS ANTHONY HOPKINS & HELEN MIRREN IN "ALFRED HITCHCOCK & THE MAKING OF PSYCHO". "THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL" WITH JUDI DENCH & MAGGIE SMITH

As "MovieWeb" reports, gorgeous Mila Kunis will lend her voice in HELL & BACK, a stop motion animated film which follows two best friends as they
rescue their buddy who has been accidentally dragged to Hell. Mila plays Deema, a female demon whose ability to navigate the underworld makes her the toughest rogue demon in Hell. Her independent streak may come from her greatest secret: She's half-human. She was sired by the Orpheus of myth when he travelled down the River Styx years ago. What the myths don't say is that he was nailing everything that moved. When Orpheus is revealed to be... well, a bit of a tool, frankly... Deema has to look inside to figure out what it means to be human. As you probably remember, we will be watching Mila next year as witch Theodora in OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL next to Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz as Glinda and Evanora and James Franco as Oz.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
According to "Deadline" Bruce Willis, who has been very busy lately as you can check out in HOLLYWOOD SPY's spotlight on 2012 busiest stars, has a new gig: he will play a hired bodyguard in FIVE AGAINST A BULLET an action film which follows a Mexican politician who, after the death of his father at the hands of a drug cartel, hires the five best bodyguards from around the world to protect him through a contentious election. One of the films I've announced before ALFRED HITCHCOCK AND THE MAKING OF PSYCHO, in which Anthony Hopkins plays Alfred Hitchcock and Helen Mirren is portraying his wife, in the story circling around the making of his famous horror, has now got Scarlett Johannson as Janet Leigh and super handsome British star James D'Arcy (MASTER AND COMMANDER, CLOUD ATLAS)as Anthony Perkins.

Are you ready for hilarious, heartwarming and profoundly charming THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL? It hits USA cinemas this May, and it already had its premier in UK, with the most amazing cast which
includes Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Nighy and Dev Patel. This delightful film follows a group of British retirees who decide to "outsource" their retirement to less expensive and seemingly exotic India. Enticed by advertisements for the newly restored Marigold Hotel and bolstered with visions of a life of leisure, they arrive to find the palace a shell of its former self. Though the new environment is less luxurious than imagined, they are forever transformed by their shared experiences, discovering that life and love can begin again when you let go of the past.
