This is one of those cases you like so much, when I post about some insignificant film as an excuse to post some hot pics of its
stars :) Over at "Beyond Hollywood" I came upon a charming little film with an even more charming title - TWO HEADED SHARK ATTACK. The latest rumors say that two vixens, Brooke Hogan and Carmen Electra will appear in this rather crazy film about a "Semester at Sea" ship which is attacked and sunk by a mutated two-headed shark, and the survivors seek refuge on a deserted atoll. The coeds, however, are no longer safe when the atoll starts flooding. The film should hit DVD market next year in case you're interested.

Yep, the trend of big stars taking roles in B-league crime films continues: according to "Variety" Anthony Hopkins has signed
on to star in SOLACE, a crime thriller which will revolve around a former doctor who possesses psychic abilities, which he uses to help the FBI track down a serial killer. As "Deadline" reports, Fox, Dreamworks and Disney will all work together in financing Steven Spielberg's next huge, and extremely expensive, project, the movie adaptation of sf novel ROBOPOCALYPSE. As I reported before, the freshly released novel by Daniel H. Wilson is a sf epic which explores the fate of the human race after the world was hit by a robot uprising.
The only trailer I have to offer you today, in this rather slow week when it comes to movie news, is the one for A BIRD OF THE AIR,
a charming film which hits cinemas this month and stars two gorgeous people Rachel Nichols (from CONAN and GI JOE, but they did some criminal things to her hair in this one) and Jackson Hurst. The story follows a solitary man who becomes obsessed with finding the owner of a green parrot who one day flew into his trailer. He is then joined by a girl who decides to help with his parrot search, whether he wants her to or not. The two of them set out on a quest to find the bird's previous owners and she begins to unravel the mysteries of his past and his present which is more intense than the romantic version she had envisioned.
Remember charming LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, and the adorable little actress Abigail Breslin? It's seems she's quite grown up
now and she has been choosing some really strange roles the latest of which is the lead one in A VIRGIN MARY, a film about a teenager who makes a pact with her best guy friend to have sex with each other, if they are both virgins by the age of 18. As I told you before, she will also appear in INNOCENCE beside Julianne Moore, as a recently bereaved teenage girl who finds herself the focus of everyone's attention at her elitist private school, which is home to a nest of vampires.

Speaking of Abigail Breslin, this October she will also star in JANIE JONES, as a daughter of a faded rock star (played by always mesmerizing Alessandro Nivola) who never even knew
he had a child until his former flame (Elisabeth Shue) drops a bomb about it because she suddenly leaves for rehab, and the child has no place to go but to join his band on their reckless tour filled with drugs and booze. As his self destructive spiral threatens to derail his comeback, the daughter uses her own surprising musical talents to help guide him down the rocky road to redemption. Bad or good news, you decide: Eddie Murphy has been officially confirmed as the host of next year OSCARS! Well, I guess he can't be any worse than the catastrophe of a host called James Franco. At least we will laugh and not cry like this year.
A trailer for today is the new one for the upcoming thriller RETREAT which should hit cinemas later this October. As you know, this exciting and intriguing suspense thriller has quite a stunning cast including amazing Cillian Murphy, gorgeous
Thandie Newton and always freaky Jamie Bell.In the rather atmospheric and spooky story Thandie Newton and Cillian Murphy appear as a married couple who go on a beautiful but remote island to relax, but there they unexpectedly encounter a strange stranded man (Jamie Bell) who tells them that everyone on the mainland had been killed by an airborne virus and that the three of them are the only survivors.
Yesterday I mentioned that the opening score for JAMES BOND 23 will be composed by Serbian chellist Jelena Mihailovic,
whom the producers gave the offer for the job after she left them breathless during her performance at Cannes Film Festival, and now, according to the latest news the song which will promote the movie could be sang by British sensation Adele. Appearing in one of the British chat shows, Adele has revealed that she is working on a movie song and that it could be the one for JAMES BOND 23 although she didn't want to reveal any details. If you ask me that sounds like a brilliant idea, since Adele truly is a breath of fresh air and a storm of natural talent in the current world of superficial and talentless pop tarts.
VENICE FASHION REPORT
Since it's the beginning of the week and there aren't many film news, I thought I'd show you a few pictures from the glamorous 68TH VENICE FILM FESTIVAL which is currently being held in Italy. There were many premieres at the festival, and there
were also many celebs: Kate Winslet looked stunning in her cappuccino dress promoting her new film CARNAGE, Gwyneth Paltrow shined on the red carpet at the premiere of the upcoming viral thriller CONTAGION, while two most handsome gents were Michael Fassbender and Vincent Cassell at the premiere of A DANGEROUS METHOD. Two other beauties were spotted at the
premiere of George Clooney's THE IDES OF MARCH - Evan Rachel Wood and Diane Kruger, both in white gowns. Gorgeous Abbie Cornish has had a flop of a dress at the equally floppish premiere of Madonna's new film W.E. which got trashed and buried by the critics. How do you like their red carpet outfits? Now, here's something fresh and unusual: charming and delightful trailer for Luc Besson produced animated movie A MONSTER IN PARIS. Set in Paris,1910 it follows Emile, a shy movie
projectionist, and Raoul, a colorful inventor, who find themselves embarked on the hunt for a monster terrorizing citizens. They join forces with Lucille, the big-hearted star of the Bird of Paradise cabaret, an eccentric scientist and his irascible monkey, to save the monster, who turns out to be an oversized but harmless flea, from the city's ruthlessly ambitious police chief. Brilliantly crafted animation, action, comedy, romance and catchy musical numbers are just some of the things you will see in the film which premieres this October in France. The voice cast includes Vanessa Paradis, the mother of Johnny Depp's kids.
I know that all of you JAMES BOND fans are waiting for the new 007 film, and the good news is that it should start shooting soon
over in India with a stunning budget of almost $200 million. I'm not sure why they are shooting in India since the story is supposed to be set in HOLLYWOOD SPY's homecountry of Vojvodina. Believe it or not, in JAMES BOND 23 secret agent oo7 will be on a mission on the outskirts of Novi Sad the capital city of Vojvodina, monitoring an Irishman called Niall Dunne, who plans to derail a train carrying three hundred kilograms of methyl isocyanate. The possible title of the film could be CARTE BLANCHE and the producers have offered Serbian cellist Jelena Mihailovic to compose the opening music sequence for the film. As you know, directed by Sam Mendes, the film will have Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes in the cast.

Although there were rumors earlier this Spring that Oprah Winfrey might host the next year's OSCARS, according to "Deadline" the director of the ceremony Brett Ratner (who isn't
a popular choice for the job himself) wants Eddie Murphy to be the host!Murphy has recently done TOWER HEIST film with Ratner and is apparently interested to take the job. Meanwhile, Billy Crystal is also one of the options, since many believe he should return to the role of the Oscar host. Speaking of Crystal, I haven't seen him and Bette Midler for quite some time, but I didn't expect to see them playing grandparents: as "Variety" reports this weekend, they will take lead roles in US & THEM playing a divorced couple who must live under the same roof again with their three grandchildren. This 2Oth Century Fox comedy will also show the grandparents struggling to adapt to their modern grandchildren's behavior.
One of the trailers released recently is the one for THE DOUBLE. It raised quite a buzz because the biggest twist is revealed in the trailer itself. Premiering later this month, the film follows Paul
Shepherdson (Richard Gere), a retired CIA operative, and a rookie FBI agent, Ben Geary (Topher Grace) who are trying to solve the mysterious murder of a US senator bearing the distinctive trademark of the legendary Soviet assassin "Cassius". Having spent his career chasing Cassius, Shepherdson is convinced his nemesis is long dead, but is pushed to take on the case by his former supervisor(Martin Sheen). Meanwhile, Agent Geary, who wrote his Master’s thesis on Shepherdson’s pursuit of the Soviet killer, is certain that Cassius has resurfaced. As Shepherdson and Geary work their way through crimes both past and present, they discover that Cassius may not be the person they always thought him to be, forcing both to re-examine everything and everyone around them. The film also stars Stephen Moyer.
Ready to premiere and hit cinemas big time October 21st is the spectacular new adaptation of the legendary story by famous French writer Alexandre Dumas THE THREE MUSKETEERS. Directed by Paul W.S. The story, which will follow hot-headed young D'Artagnan along with three former legendary but now down on their luck Musketeers (whom he finds as a shadow of their former selves,
working menial jobs and seeking a cause worth serving), who must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war, will have a rather magnificent star studded cast: young D'Artagnan is played by Logan Lerman from PERCY JACKSON
THE LIGHTNING THIEF, and he is joined by three rogue Musketeers - hunky Ray Stevenson (ROME, THOR, PUNISHER 2) who appears as Porthos, magnetic and super talented Luke Evans (CLASH OF THE TITANS, THE HOBBIT, IMMORTALS)as Aramis and
dashingly refined Matthew Macfadyen (THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH, ROBIN HOOD) as Athos. The four of them will try to stop the evil Cardinal Richelieu, played by Christoph Waltz, they will face off with lord Buckingham, played by Orlando Bloom and the treacherous Milady de Winter, a role which director Paul W.S. Anderson gave to his wife Milla Jovovich, who will probably be the weakest link in the cast. Mads Mikkelsen (CLASH OF THE TITANS, VALHALLA RISING) will appear as Rochefort, wonderful German
star Till Schweiger will be Cagliostro, while young Juno Temple will play the queen.
MUSKETEER TIDBITS
Beside getting a state of the art update in 3-D THE THREE MUSKETEERS will be less focused on corsets and feathered hats
and more on the eye-popping action, romance and adventure as you've already seen in the mind-blowing trailer announcing the film with scenes involving Matrix action, fire blowing cannons and flying ships. Bellow you can also check out a rather stunning TV spot which includes all the amazing action scenes and visual treats which await us in the film this Autumn. British band Take That are singing the lead song for the film which will be called "When We Were Young". The film was mostly shot at different filming locations in Germany.
For some reason FRANKENSTEIN is "in" in Hollywood again, and the latest project on the popular monster will be the one
which Shawn Levy (REAL STEEL) will direct for 20th Century Fox and which will bring a sci-fi spin on the traditional Mary Shelley story, focusing on themes of friendship and redemption. There is also Guillermo del Toro's THE CASEBOOK OF VICTOR FRANKEN STEIN, and over at Summit they are preparing adventurous adaptation of THIS DARK ENDEAVOR book, which I mentioned back in May. Last year I also mentionedI, FRANKEN STEIN, highly visual fantasy thriller in which the original monster of Victor Frankenstein stands between the human race and an uprising of supernatural creatures determined to overthrow the world.

CLOSER TO THE MOON, a film set in 1959 Bucharest, where a group of former anti-Nazi revolutionaries refocus their skills against the communists and are arrested for robbing a bank under the guise of staging a film shoot. A year later, the culprits are sentenced to death but are first forced to reenact the caper in a propaganda film. I wasn't a fan of THE SOPRANOS, but those of you who were, might enjoy the fact that James Gandolfini and HBO are preparing a new show - BIG DEAD PLACE, about a man who went to work for the U.S. Antarctic Program thinking he'd find adventure, beauty, penguins and lofty-minded scientists. Instead, he found boredom, alcohol and bureaucracy.
I haven't mention this upcoming show before, but now I feel I have to since it's getting itself quite an interesting cast: according to "Deadline" our favourite Zachary Quinto has just joined Dylan McDermott and Jessica Lange in FX's new show AMERICAN HORROR STORY. Premiering this October, this strange show, from the creators of NIP/TUCK and GLEE, centers on therapist
Ben Harmon (McDermott) and his wife Vivien who, dealing with the aftermath of Ben’s adultery, move along with their kids into a new house that seems to know all about their fears and plays on them. Quinto, who will appear in at least four episodes, will play Chad, the gay former owner of the house who becomes friends with Vivien.
According to "MovieWeb", always adorable Amy Adams is in early talks to take the lead in the English language version of Spanish horror THE ORPHANAGE. In the story, written by Guillermo del Toro, she might play a young woman who returns to the orphanage where she was raised with plans to turn the facility into a home for mentally disabled children, but her little son begins to encounter the same demon which tormented her many years ago. As you know, Amy has the premiere of THE MUPPETS film this December, and in 2013 she will be Louis Lane in MAN OF STEEL and she will also star in THE MASTER, a film about a powerful leader of a religious sect.

I'm not sure what is happening, but after we've heard the news of Gerard Butler and Catherine Heigl starring in the film reboot of famous ROMANCING THE STONE, the same adventure is now also moving to NBC where they are making
a TV show out of the story which follows a writer who goes to the jungles of Colombia to find her missing brother. Long awaited premiere of the second season of mega popular TV show THE WALKING DEAD will have a 90 minute opening episode on Sunday, October 16th at AMC. The 12 episodes will be shown within each of the following weeks in 122 countries around the world making it the biggest global TV show ever to be aired almost simultaneously around the planet. It will be translated onto almost 40 languages.
A bunch of celebrities have landed in Serbia, where the shooting of new TV series TITANIC: BLOOD AND STEEL is about to start this week. The international co-production, which I mentioned
earlier this Spring, will depict the design of the ship, how it was built, and the financial compromises which ultimately lead to its untimely demise. Chris Noth (Mr.Big from SEX AND THE CITY) plays financier J.P. Morgan, while Neve Campbell plays a journalist covering the ship's first voyage to New York City. Derek Jacobi will play Lord William Pirrie, chairman of the company which built the Titanic. The cast also includes a number of Italian and Serbian actors, and young Hollywood star Kevin Zegers. The mini series will air next Spring celebrating the 100th year after Titanic's first and last voyage. The huge construction of Titanic has already been built in Serbian city of Kragujevac where the shooting will take place.
